Magic, and spellcasters. -From the library of the White Mages.
Magic comes from the fey word "maegycc" which means "gift of water", for in the early days of Creation, the Fey Gods told the elves and their kin to drink from an ancient river in the heart of the fey realms. When the fey peoples drank of the water, they had the ability to cast spells, and had heightened magic powers, and that day forward, all the elfkin have innate magic powers. When the first planar cross over between Lorria and the nations of the land Eilendor, on the mortal world, the fey races brought with them, magic, which spread all over the natural world. Magic spells are cast by saying the command (what you wish to happen) in any languge, then drain the energy (mana) then the spell is "woven" into shape. Wizards draw mana from the world, or their surroundings, and usually have a spellbook or staff, sorcerers are more firey mages, being born with their own mana pool, but they still say the incantations, but they draw off their energy, warlocks use sigils and dark pacts to cast magic, and when they make a pact they have a "witch mark", and lastly, druids are the disciples of the Green One, or Nature, and are excellent shape changers.
