Elves are the most common fey, though there are different types of elves, many common people have varied ideas about elves. But in truth there are eldritch elves (kalvari), night elves (nyaari), dark elves (drow), light elves (Lojari), and wood elves (sylvari). Once, long ago, there was a single elfin race, high elves, or hiryali, but after the first scihsm, there was drow and hiryali, then kalvari split of from the drow, then sylvari were the forest loving hiryali, and nyaari are a subrace of sylvari.
Delvair: is the sylvari kingdom, located on the continent of Intari, on Eilendor. Delvair is rulled by a king, or queen, who rule for usually close to a century, depending on the populaurity of the ruler. The capital of Delvair is Eulnira, an ancient city built in the glade elves first appeared in, Eulnira is a city known for it's Great Library, the Silver Tower, and the Guild of the Deer-Knights. The sylvari of Delvair are expert trackers and rangers, and the legendary enderian, the weilders of the enderi elf-spear. Elf males and females are of about the same height, 5' 3" to 6' 0", and weigh 118 to 135 l.b., they have blond to dark brown hair, but never really black or red hair, and green, blue, golden, or violet eyes, but not black or brown, and have fair skin. Sylvari speak Elven. A notable sylvari is Shazien Rijite, a very long lived elf warrior.
Faelir: the original sylvari kingdom, Faelir is located to the west of Alsthrinyulner. The main part of Faelir is in Faelir forest, and the capital, Illera, is in the glade where the elves first settled. Sylvari of Faelir are hardly any different from the Delvair elves. They speak Elven.
Alsthrinyulner: the kingdom of twilight, located on the western border of the Avwan mountains in Lorria. The nyaari have fair skin, silver, dark blue, or black eyes, and silver, black or midnight blue hair. Alsthrinyulner is ruled by a Highstar, or Luistellir in Elven, from the city Nyavellrenn, or Night's Den, and there is also a lesser council, the Moon Council, Alsthrindaun. Night elves are 5' 3" to 5' 8", and 118 to 130 lb, male nyaari main role in night elf society, besides the usual, mundane occupations, are Dusks, magical warriors, and Twilights, magical rangers, and they often watch the drow borders, while females, again, besides the usual, are Dawns, magical scouts and spies. Nyaari speak Elven. A notable nyaari is Alden Quellnen, an acomplished ranger.
Cho: the dark kingdom, home of the drow, located underground just east of the Avwan mountains. Cho is a highly male-domonint society, female drow are treated like slaves, and marrige in dark elf soceity would be like a master marrying a slave, so it is unheared of. Cho is ruled by a king, who has a grand palace in the capital, Mazzbalzeren, and the king rules as a dictator, no one questions the king, and he rules with an iron fist, also his reign lasts as long as the king lives, which can be centuries to millenia, but many often get assassinated by the leading houses of Cho. Drow males are 5' 6" to 6' 1" in height, and 118 to 135 in pounds, and females are 5'3" to 5' 6" and 114 to 125 in weight, all dark elves have red, infrared, eyes and stark white hair. Drow hate their kin, sylvari and nyaari, so much that when they see them, they go into half-aware rages, and try to kill sylvari and nyaari on sight. Dark elves speak Dark elven. A notable drow is Zenzarinda, a female dark elf sorceress who ran away from drow society.
Kalnara: the eldritch empire, kingdom of the kalvari, located northeast of Cho. The eldritch elves are dark purple-skinned fey, who live on the surface, continually waging war on the nyaari borders, and search for the ruins of the high elf city, Hirallyra, they think it holds a secret weapon. Kalvari are ruled by a single monarch, of either sex, that acts mostly as supreme general, since kalvari have little care for domestic lives, the capital is the great walled city, Kelvia. Kalvari males are 5' 6" to about 6' 2", and weigh 120 to 140 lb, whiule females are 5' 2" to 5' 6", and 118 to 125 pounds, the eldritch elves' hair comes in a vairity of shades of gray; dark purple, almost black, skin; and human colors of eyes. Kalvari hate all other races, except possibly drow, who they only dislike, drow will trade with fomorians, shadelings, rakshasa, and gray dwarves, but kalvari do not trade, or even keep slaves like drow, so kalvari prisoners usually end up on spikes outside Kelvia. Kalvari speak Dark elven. A notable kalvari is Mizar, a male wizard, who slaughtered the most sylvari and nyaari on record, at the Battle of Farfold.
Gray elves (Amzari): Amzari are exiled sylvari and nyaari, drow and kalvari do not practice amzari punishment. The way an elf becomes a gray elf is that they are banished, but before they leave Cawen puts a curse on the exile through a high priestess* so that the elf's skin slowly turns gray, his hair turns coal black, and he loses the elfin innate abilities. But Caswen is a merciful goddess, and allows any gray elf to walk the Path of the Hiryali. Elves may be banished for such things as thievery, idoletry, and adultery (though it happens in Delvair so rarely, about every few centuries), but not turned into gray elves, things like black magic, murder, and conspiring with drow and other evil elves, will get you turned into a gray elf. A notable gray elf is Kelnin No-house, a male wizard who's current where abouts are unknown.
* Only female sylvari and nyaari are allowed to be clergy, since Caswen is a goddess, drow worship Lurr, god of shadow, poison, and bats.
